Magdanas lurja (1956) 🇬🇪| Tengiz Abuladze, Rezo Chkeidze
The film is set in a small Georgian village (ca. 1890). The main character is Magdana, a widow who lives in arun-down shack with her 3 children and makes out a living by selling yogurt. When the children find an injured donkey lying by the road and nurse it back to health, the family’s troubles are starting to disappear.
